Eunice is incredibly important to other women in the Chesapeake sailing world . When talking about female sailors in the Chesapeake, Eunice’s name is often the first mentioned. Not only is she driven, but she’s also friendly — she was the first to welcome me into our sailing association. After learning to sail and going out with others on the water, Eunice wanted to learn to skipper a boat herself. That soon wasn’t enough and she wanted her own boat, and a boat she could single-hand. Her Alerion 28 is a perfect representation for her skill on the water. She is also one of the few women who owns, skippers, and race s a J/80. To those she has raced with and those she had taught, Eunice is a mainstay in the sailing world.
