In eleventh grade, when Erin moved to Maryland, she felt that something was off. She had grown up on the Finger Lakes, where her grandfather would often take the family boating. It wasn’t until a few years later when she helped a friend in their search for a boat that she realized what she was missing - being on the water. Thankfully she was in a state with amazing Bay access, and it wasn’t long until she was back enjoying the water life. She laughs at her stories from joining a sailing club in Baltimore in young adulthood. Friday nights were extra fun on a boat. After a few iterations of owning her own boat, her current one has a home overlooking beautiful sunsets. It is a perfect match for her and her goals. Even when she is nervous driving it for the first time in a new and narrow space, she is able to trust in her skill and execute the needed maneuvers. For her and her family, this boat truly feels “Heaven Sent.”
