Kate is one of the most enthusiastic boaters on the water, about absolutely any type of boat. She has known since childhood that she would spend her life on the water. When she grew too old to attend sail camp, she taught sail camp. The boats that she captains have gotten progressively bigger since then, ranging from 150+ foot luxury sailing yachts to party barges to classic wooden Chris-Craft boats. Delivering boats now gives her the opportunity to be based on land but still enjoy time on the water. What she loves most is teaching, particularly teaching how to dock. Her role often blends boating skills with couples skills, helping spouses figure out how to successfully bring their boat into a slip in partnership. She shares more of her love for teaching through an online platform, leaning into her skill at telling a visual story and having fun with a goofy and playful attitude. She feels strongly about making the water a welcome place for everyone, no matter what their background.
