Emma Jimmyer

Licensed 50 Ton Boat Captain

What is a passion? Even more than something you must do, Emma defines it as “something you can’t not do.” Emma found her passion in her 30s with a sailing club in Philadelphia and trips to the Chesapeake Bay and British Virgin Islands. The Chesapeake has remained special in her heart. Even after a few years living in Florida with a 22 foot center console, she missed her old sailing waters. She appreciates how amazing the waters of the Bay are: 200 miles from top to bottom with all of the tributaries on either side. In her many trips and charters, she has developed a checklist to review unfamiliar boats, with an emphasis on safety. Acknowledging that couples can fall into tired patterns on board, Emma believes strongly in giving women opportunities to lead, especially on boats. This leadership training would empower her in all aspects of life.
